Taylor's Resources

Realizations Inc and Pacific Health Education Center Inc have teamed up to offer FREE downloads of selected ebooks, audiobooks, and videos through June 2020 of this pandemic. Pacific Health Education Center, Inc, (PHEC), also a nonprofit, is a distributor of Taylor's resources. These resources are available through PHEC's website. They hope you take full advantage of this during the next six weeks. After that there will always be something FREE offered each month. Meantime, stay safe and stay well.

Taylor’s Latest Books

Two new books are published and available.

Taylor and her colleagues are working diligently to get both available as FREE downloads during this coronavirus pandemic. They will be accessed from the Pacific Health Education Center, Inc, website, www.pacifichealth.org.

If you don’t see them there, keep checking!

Just the Facts!

Just the Facts!

This little book is designed to do just that: present Just the Facts. It contains key points about the 14 components of a Longevity Lifestyle: strategies for boosting immune system function and helping you to stay healthier and younger for longer. When Taylor started writing this, no one knew that within a few months the entire world would be dealing with a new coronavirus pandemic. Whether you get sick depends on a couple of key factors:

  1. The strength of your immune system, along with your current level of health, which involves your typical lifestyle habits.
  2. The type and amount of exposure you receive to the virus.

These factors are at least partially, if not completely, within your control.

Sound of Jade in the Forest

Sound of Jade in the Forest

On one of her dozen or so lecture tours to Australia over the last two decades, Taylor finally met Linnie Ling Pohan, the mother of Stephen Pohan, who had spent a school year in the U.S. when he was 14. Since Stephen was staying with one of Taylor’s best friends, Amabel Tsao and her family, Taylor got to know Stephen and learned about his family, including his mother, Linnie Ling Pohan.

It took several decades for the paths of these two women to cross, but none knew that the result would be a book about her ancestry and her generational history of “church planting” in Asia.

Recipes

Hand sanitizer at 60-70 percent alcohol has been hard to come by. There are recipes on the internet for how to make your own hand sanitizer. The key is to make it in small batches and keep the jar or container tightly closed. Be sure it is at least 60 percent, and preferably 70 percent, alcohol.

Seminar Opportunities

sem As you know, Dr. Taylor maintains a calendar of some of her public speaking events. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, however, and in line with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as local governments and health departments, Taylor has cancelled all speaking appointments until at least August. At that time, she will see how containment is progressing and resume appointments when the social distancing restrictions are lifted. Meantime, she is preparing additional videos to post on her Brain Talk YouTube channel.

Q & A

Q. We are so enjoying Birds & Brains. We have two parakeets and all of us, kids and adults, think it is so cool that you’ve done something no one else has done that we know of: teach brain function using a cast of “birds.” It’s brilliant. I hope you do more of that series! My question: What is the reason they are only 5-7 minutes in length? The kids wanted them longer. Answer...

Q. I’ve heard you say that this is the “Age of the Brain.” I’m about to decide it is really the “Age of Criticism.” There are things I’d like to do in life, but I know someone would criticize my efforts and I doubt I could handle that. I would die if someone criticized my efforts. How do you manage criticism? Answer...

Q. I’ve never heard anyone talk about Life Satisfaction at all until I read your book, “Longevity Lifestyle Matters.” I cannot think of any things or events in my life that would qualify as “life satisfaction.” Am I looking for the wrong thing? Answer...

Q. I am interested in knowing how you compete with the myriad of other motivational speakers who are doing the same thing you are doing? Answer...

Q. My family is following the recommendations for prevention amid this global pandemic. The seven of us are reconfiguring our lives. It’s quite novel to eat all our meals together sitting around the same dining room table. Fun. When one of us feels like we are on our “last nerve,” we’ve learned to laugh and be upfront about needing a bit of space. We grew up in the Lutheran religion. I remember hearing something about Martin Luther going through a pandemic but when I called my pastor, he was unfamiliar with the quotation I was looking for. Any chance you have that and can share it with me? Answer...

Point to Ponder

This global pandemic is a challenge—for everyone—and I doubt it will be the last. I am warmed and encouraged by the many ways in which people are pulling together to do whatever they can to make life better on this planet in the face of this challenge.

  • When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better
