Find a Word
Up, down, back, great,
Hide 'n seek in aggregate.
Finding answers can elate,
Help your neurons age-abate.
These Brain-Aerobic Find-a-Word Exercises challenge the brain not only in terms of knowing how to identify the word by its sequence of letters, but also how to recognize the pattern of the letters when the word's position differs from what your brain would typically expect. Search for them up, down, across, forward, backward, and diagonally.
A minimum number of words has been set for each puzzle just to get you started. Part of the fun may be in finding additional words that are not in that minimum number. Try to find additional words that may have only two letters, or words with three or more letters that weren't included in the minimum list.
As with other types of Brain-Aerobic Exercises, periodically review puzzles you've already solved and attempt to identify the words more quickly the second or third time around.
The PDF puzzles will open in a new window, from which you can print. The PDF solutions will also open in a new window, which you can also print.
