My experience has been that when you take responsibility for your life, wonderful things begin to happen. Does this mean you can control everything that happens? No. It does mean that you are the one to notice (or not notice) opportunities that crop up regularly. It means you decide whether or not to walk through that open door and take advantage of the opportunity, which someone else will grab if you don’t. It means you choose to stop banging your head on a closed door (when something does not work out as expected) and look for another door that is open. Waiting for someone else to make it happen for you is a most dangerous and insidious expectation and has led some to procrastinate for a whole lifetime. Decide what it is that you want to do and then do it. It is up to you.
