How to make learning more brain-friendly
No one really knows how the brain learns. I wish we did! It could make life so much easier for everyone—parents, students, teachers, and you! Although science still sees through a glass darkly in terms of how the brain actually learns, it has uncovered how the brain naturally learns best. That knowledge is exhilarating because with some effort and innovation the educational process can be enhanced significantly for most students. If you did, life so much easier for everyone—parents, students, teachers, and you! In some ways research still sees through a glass darkly in terms of how the brain actually learns. Studies have shown with some impunity, however, how the brain naturally learns best. That knowledge is at once exhilarating and depressing: exhilarating because with some effort and innovation the educational process could be enhanced significantly for most students; depressing because millions of brains are experiencing less than optimal learning as they move through or drop out of the educational process in a variety of environments, some of which are demeaning if not downright punishing.
This seminar is designed to present information related to how the brain learns best, against the backdrop of what once people thought they knew about the brain and learning. Practically applied, the information presented can help your brain learn better and can make you more savvy when you need to help other brains learn.
