BTSA Print E-mail

Q. Personal growth. I’m so tired of that buzz word. I’ve heard you suggest the BTSA... how does that tie in with this tiresome concept?

A. I regret your brain finds this a tiresome phrase. The concept, however, is absolutely key to long-term overall success in life. Think of it in terms of:
• Growing up
• Maturing
• Discovering and honing your innate giftedness
• Following your life’s passion
• Getting it together
• Developing well-rounded competence
• Learning to be successful by design

In other words, as I recently saw on a bumper sticker:  Until you know who you are, you cannot be content with who you are.

You may find it helpful to review the “Who Am I?” Pyramid model (Taylor’s Model) and compare the topic associated with each layer against what you know about yourself. The BTSA is a tool that can help a person identify who they are in relation to the top three layers on Taylor’s Model.

You may want to obtain a copy of my book, Your Brain Has a Dent (not a Bent) that contains an Energy Assessment. That’s another way of trying to get at this information. You may also want to review the Q & As under the topic: Adaption and the Brain.
