NOTE: Take advantage of this one-day format. Practically applied, brain-function information can make a positive difference in the way you expend your energy for the rest of your life--to say nothing of your level of health and wellness, and perhaps even your longevity!

  • January 23, 2005, Mountain View, California, and January 30, 2005, Fresno, California. My topic: The Brain and Learning. Hosts are Dan Matthews of His Kids Inc, and Ileana Santa Cruz-Espinosa. Parents, teachers, students, and interested community members are welcome.
  • February 25, 2005, St. Helena California at The Women’s Center. My topic: The Brain Program. Register early and complete your BTSA. E-mail: beggc1@ah.org

calendarNOTE: By special request I am presenting The Brain Program in a one-day format (as compared with the 2-day Friday-Saturday format typically available at The St. Helena Center for Health). Based on the amount of interest we’ll decide whether to continue offering a one-day option a couple of times a year. I am also considering a one-day “alumni” option in 2005 or 2006. Proposed topics include: energy, self-esteem, boundary issues, unfinished business, and laughter--all related to brain function, of course!

Electronic Cards

During this holiday season more and more people elected to send electronic cards. (I wonder if the USPS will notice?) Yvonne Stratton sent me an unusual electronic card, and I enjoyed it so much I’m passing the URL along (in case you didn’t already know about it). Her one caution was to move the “ornament” along the line slowly--great advice!

Point to Ponder

closed bookA closed mind is like a closed book: just a block of wood. --Old Chinese Proverb

How open is your mind to evaluating new ideas, new information, and new ways to look at old concepts? Flexibility of thought is key to graceful aging. According to Oliver Wendell Holmes, when we expose our mind to new information, it never returns to its original dimensions. What a wonderful concept!
