News Note

bookEmotions and feelings, an area of study that has at times been shied away from or ignored, is becoming more embraced and validated. In fact, Emotional Intelligence may be more important to success in life than outright IQ. Joseph LeDoux, a neuroscientist and author of such books as The Emotional Brain, and Synaptic Self - How Our Brains Become Who We Are, is one researcher who is not afraid to venture where others have feared to tread.

bookHis research lab is striving to understand the biology of emotions, such as fear and anger. And his work suggests that it is important to study both thinking and feeling—cognition and emotions—and not try to isolate them from each other. I have found some of his work to be interesting and helpful. You might like to explore his web sites:

Point to Ponder

Those who wish to sing always find a song. - Swedish proverb

When I first read this proverb all I could think of was those who wish to fly always find their wings! If you truly want to identify your innate giftedness and live authentically, you can find a way to do so. Soar through life on your own journey, on your own wings. Sing your own song, with your own voice!
