Q. I’d like some suggestions of how people are using your DVDs.
A. Certainly. Following are some ways we’ve been told they are being used:
- Community residents show them to friends and neighbors at a weekly morning “coffee-klatch” or “afternoon tea,” followed by informal discussion.
- Chaplains at Leavenworth Penitentiary and at OSCI in Oregon show segments to inmates on a weekly basis followed by a 20-30-minute discussion group. The sessions have proved so popular that additional meetings have been scheduled.
- Residents in retirement-center complexes show DVD segments to other residents followed by informal discussions.
- High-school teachers and administrators show DVD segments during assembly periods, for classes, as extra-credit projects, and in PTA meetings followed by group discussion.
- Clerical personnel from a variety of denominations utilize DVD segments as the basis for mid-week or other church-related meetings followed by a 20-30-minute directed discussion.
- Local public television stations show the DVDs on a weekly basis, rotating the topics periodically.
- Organizations with in-house closed-circuit television play DVD segments for viewing by patients, clients, residents, or program participants.
- Health Professionals play the DVDs in their office waiting room for viewing by patients, family members, et cetera.
